Quality Assurance & Control

Quality is at the core of every program and initiative at Samaritan Daytop Village. We strive for the highest level of quality and do so by constantly monitoring our operations and following legal and regulatory requirements.

We have the highest standards of accountability for administration, clinical, business, marketing, and financial management at Samaritan Daytop Village. Therefore, all employees, third-party vendors, partners, and stakeholders must observe our quality practices and procedures.

Corporate Compliance Program

To maintain our pledge of quality, Samaritan Daytop Village has developed a Corporate Compliance Program. A robust and effective set of quality assurance policies, the Corporate Compliance Program defines how we:

  • Adhere to Federal, State, City, and industry laws, and quality assurance standards
  • Comply with governing and regulatory agencies
  • Follow the requirements of the New York State Social Services Law (521)
  • Guarantee the privacy of patients’ health information through the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
  • Deter Medicaid fraud through the Deficit Reduction Act (42 USC 1396(a)(68))
  • Ensure the ability to take legal action against perpetrators of government fraud through the False Claims Act

The program applies to all Samaritan Daytop Village employees and third parties who complete any aspect of our operations and continuum of care (including agents, contractors, subcontractors, independent contractors, volunteers, interns, clients, and governing body and corporate offices).

Reviewed and updated annually, the Corporate Compliance Program emphasizes:

  1. Prevention and detection of any wrongdoing, questionable activities, or practices
  2. Immediate reporting and timely investigation
  3. Timely correction of the identified issue
